HER HANDS

“She stretches out her hands to the needy…
she is known by her extravagant generosity to the poor.” — Proverbs 31:19–20

Who is HER HANDS?

EMPOWERING WOMEN   |  EDUCATING CHILDREN   |  ELEVATING COMMUNITY

HER HANDS is a MINISTRY OF MERCY.

Our mission is simple but powerful:

Providing Care and Education to Orphans and Kids/Teens in Rwanda and Kenya.

Two years ago, we began "Until They Have a Home" Project, we purchased land and began building an orphanage and a Boarding School in Kenya that will care for 300 kids. We believe as we join hands and hearts, we will see it's completion.

We also have built and care for over 600 children educating them and feeding them daily at Harvest Learning Centre School.

We've seen firsthand how our love and support can make a world of difference, and we're on a mission to continue to spread that goodness.

About us

About Us

As a mum and grandmother to 11 beautiful grandchildren, my heart, along with so many who stand with Her Hands—breaks at the thought of children left abandoned, without family, without belonging, and without hope.

But this is where their story changes.

Through our generosity, Hope for Life in Rwanda and Harvest Learning Centre in Kenya, welcome the most vurnerable into a safe and loving place.
Together, we enable a child to regain value and dignity, and be filled with hope for the future.

Her Hands are everyday people from all walks of life who desire to make a difference in the world and to see people, communities, and whole nations transformed and empowered.

When we come together and work in unity, we have the ability to reach far beyond ourselves and touch countless lives.

Every woman carries something valuable within her.

Every woman has something to offer.

Until They Have A Home Kenya

CURRENT PROJECT

We have partnered with Ps. Erick Ondicho and his team at Harvest Worship Centre, who are fighting for change in Soweto - the second largest slum in Kenya.

UNTIL THEY HAVE A HOME has raised funds and purchased land in a safe area and commenced  building an Orphanage and school that will FEED, PROTECT & EDUCATE more that 300 children away from the Soweto Slum.

This is an ongoing project and we are excited to see this completed.

as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” — 1 Peter 4:10

Girls Hope for LIfe Home August (1) 2018

Hope For Life Rwanda

This photo captures a powerful story of rescue, restoration, and new beginnings.

These four young girls were once living in extreme vulnerability, forced into unthinkable circumstances just to survive in the marketplace.

Their lives were marked by hardship, fear, and instability at such a young age.

Today, their story has been rewritten.

Through Hope for Life, they have been brought into a place of safety, love, and belonging. Here, they have found not only shelter, but a true home a family that nurtures them, supports them, and walks with them into a brighter future.

Now, as young mothers, they are thriving. Their children are being raised in an environment filled with care, dignity, and hope. What was once a story of survival has become a testimony of healing, strength, and restoration.

Because of compassion in action, their future is no longer defined by their past, but by hope.

"I have attended Her hands since 1990, I find it an absolute pleasure to think I am in partnership with God in caring for the needy. He has paid me back 100-fold. I have received so much love, peace, joy and help in times of trouble. I am blessed and privileged to be part of this work."

"I value being apart of Her Hands because I believe in what it stands for and what it has achieved in the lives of young orphaned people in Africa. For more than 25 years, Her Hands has regularly provided life-giving help and support for young children and teenagers who are subject to extreme suffering on the streets. I made a decision in 2009 to be part of Her Hands and have been so happy with my decision."

"My heart breaks to see children suffering and for 25 years I have been helping to raise funds for these children and seeing the suffering first hand when visiting Rwanda and Kenya in 2023. I'm excited to be apart of Her Hands and see everything and share in the joy of helping the vulnerable."

The Heart Behind HER HANDS

Her Hands was established over 25 years ago and has grown into a vibrant global movement of women making a tangible difference.

Across chapters in Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, and Melbourne, women gather regularly, hosting dinners, building community, and raising vital funds to support life-changing initiatives. What began as a simple desire to help has become a powerful network of compassion in action.

Now, we look ahead with vision and faith, believing to see many more Her Hands communities established around the world, people rising together to bring hope, transformation and empowerment to those who need it most.
